Indian Ocean fault line poses threat of further earthquakes

Just weeks after the earthquake that triggered the devastating tsunami in the Indian Ocean, seismologists are turning their attention to nearby sections of the fault line that are also prone to rupture.Researchers say that there could be further earthquakes both to the north and south of the event that occurred on 26 December, perhaps within decades, and that they might even be powerful enough to cause another tsunami.
