Abstract
Meteorites record the early history of the inner Solar System. A unique object that has been found in one meteorite may add support to a revolutionary idea about how the Solar System formed.
Astronomers and astrophysicists have made great strides in identifying the basic stages in the formation of Sun-like stars and their planetary systems1. Stars form by the collapse of high-density regions, or cores, inside interstellar clouds.
