Danish biotech centre faces axe

The Danish Biotechnology Instrument Center (DABIC), set up in 2000 to support research into genomics and proteomics, could face closure for want of funds to cover its running costs.Based at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, the centre was established with a three-year, euro dollar18-million (US$20-million) grant.
