Declaration: This research project was funded by BioArts and Research Corporation Inc. (BARC),
a California Corporation. All intellectual property that may result from this
research will be owned by Texas A&M University. BARC obtained from
Texas A&M University an exclusive right to license any intellectual property
resulting from this research. BARC subsequently transferred all its legal rights
to control the intellectual property to Genetic Savings and Clone Inc. (GSC),
another California based corporation with offices and labs in College Station, Texas.
Dr. Mark Westhusin is a consultant for GSC. Dr. Mark Westhusin and Dr. Duane Kraemer,
both authors on this work, were previously offered a minor equity position in GSC that
at this point has not been completely defined, but represents something less than 10%
ownership.
