Kinesin proteins are nanoscale transport vehicles. Analysis of the structure and function of one such protein has revealed the secrets of its rapid movement.
Motor proteins are tiny vehicles that move molecular cargoes around inside cells. These minute cellular machines come in three broad families, the kinesins, the myosins and the dyneins.
