Alzheimer's disease: An inflammatory drug prospect

Abstract
There is no known cure for Alzheimer's disease. But new hope (for mice at least) comes from an in-depth investigation of a class of drugs used to treat inflammatory diseases.
Some of the drugs used to treat diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis have an unexpected benefit: they reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease1, 2. Until now it was thought that the anti-inflammatory properties of the drugs could explain this odd side effect.
