Time for orbiting lab to find true purpose
Abstract
The International Space Station's current plight provides another chance to subject its research portfolio to rigorous review.
Watching the apparent ease with which NASA astronauts have been assembling the International Space Station in orbit, one would scarcely suspect the chaos the programme is experiencing down on Earth. NASA is requesting up to an additional $5 billion over the next five years.
