ad, Histograms show LTbetaR-Ig staining of B220-gated B cells from in vitro cultures in the absence (Con) or presence of chemokines at the indicated amounts for 6 h. Cells were pre-incubated with 200 ng ml-1 PTX or an equal volume of buffer for 2 h and then incubated with BLC (3 microg ml -1) for a further 6 h (b), incubated in SLC, ELC or BLC at 3 microg ml-1 or SDF1 at 1 microg ml -1 (c), or incubated with BLC (3 microg ml -1) alone or combined with actinomycin D (ActD, 5 microg ml -1), cycloheximide (CHX, 1 microg ml-1) or wortmannin (WMN, 100 nM) for 6 h (d).
