A brilliant dissection of the brain

Towards the end of his thrilling book, Ian Glynn tells us that scientists are generally dismissive of philosophy, partly at least because of the poor progress it has made compared to the |[lsquo]|hard|[rsquo]| sciences. This is puzzling, if only because philosophy has largely dealt with the problem of knowledge, which is also a leading problem for those who study the brain, or at least its higher cognitive functions.
