Neurobiology: Rain Man's revelations

In the film Rain Man, an autistic savant who can multiply enormous numbers with lightning speed earns social attention and wins his brother a large sum of money in a Las Vegas casino by remembering all the cards in the game. Other retarded savants, such as the three-and-a-half-year-old Nadia described by Selfe1, draw natural objects such as the horse in Fig. 1
