Chemical kinetics: Smaller, faster chemistry

Chemical kinetics is the study of mechanisms and rates of chemical processes, in anything from biological systems to man-made materials. To measure the rate of reaction between two chemical species, they must be mixed much faster than the reaction rate — otherwise only the mixing rate is observed.
