Circadian rhythms:  New cogwheels in the clockworks

Many organisms, from bacteria to man, contain self-sustained circadian oscillators that control daily fluctuations in behaviour and physiology. These oscillators are controlled by a number of clock genes, but the nature of the interplay between them is not known.
