a, HUVECs were treated with VEGF or histamine (left and centre panels) and eNOS was immunoprecipitated (IP). Western blot (WB) analysis of the presence of eNOS and Hsp90 was performed. In the right panel; BLMVEC were exposed to shear stress for the indicated times and processed as described. The lower blot shows the levels of Hsp90 in total cell lysates. b, Control or VEGF-treated ECV 304 cell lysates were incubated with non-immune IgG or the anti-Hsp90 monoclonal antibody and samples were immunoprecipitated. Antibody-treated samples were transferred to a separate tube containing NOS, and NOS activity was determined. Data are presented as mean
