Photochemistry:  Trees to trap photons

Photochemical reactions are usually triggered by a high-energy ultraviolet or visible photon that delivers the necessary energy. In some cases such reactions can instead be induced by the absorption of many low-energy infrared photons using intense infrared lasers.
