Superclusters and galaxy formation

Most galaxies and rich clusters of galaxies¹ are concentrated in superclusters, and there are great distances between superclusters²⁻⁶. In this paper we study the structure of superclusters using Zwicky clusters⁷ as principal tracers of the large-scale structure of the Universe. Our study is restricted to the southern galactic hemisphere.
