Radiative acceleration of gas above a luminous disk

Abstract
Spherically symmetric radiative acceleration has been considered1 as a mechanism for the ejection of matter from quasistellar objects. I present some calculations showing that in a simplified case, a strongly beamed outflow will result if the source of the driving radiation is not point-like but a disk.
