Daily Circadian Rhythm in Rats to D-Amphetamine Sulphate: Effect of Blinding and Continuous Illumination on the Rhythm

SEVERAL daily drug-susceptibility rhythms have been reported in rodents^1–12. This report demonstrates the daily pattern in susceptibility to D-amphetamine sulphate as measured by percentage of mortality for normal rats housed in a light-dark (LD) environment, for rats maintained in continuous illumination (LL) and for blinded rats kept in continuous darkness (DD).
