Stimulation of Spawning in Xenopus laevis by Fowl Manure

SAVAGE1 found that pondweeds in the presence of light stimulate spawning in Xenopus laevis in the laboratory. This finding prompts me to report my own experience with this amphibian under more natural conditions in the Transvaal.
