Abstract
DURING the course of investigations into the source and role of serum amylase, we made the surprising observation that when depancreatomized diabetic dogs are enterectomized, the typical hyperglycaemia was changed into pronounced hypoglycaemia, associated with high levels of liver and tissue glycogen.
