Expression of podoplanin and CD34 in the normal liver. Podoplanin is specifically expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells. CD34 is detected in both lymphatic and vascular endothelial cells. Some sinusoidal endothelial cells surrounding portal tracts are focally positive for CD34 (all images, times 400 in almost the same field).
