The histomorphologic similarities on hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of various monocyte-derived giant cells: (a) a few rare osteoclasts identified in osteopetrosis ( times 40), (b) foreign-body giant cell reaction with suture material ( times 40), (c) giant cells in sarcoidosis ( times 40), (d) giant cell tumor of the bone ( times 40), and (e) chondroblastoma with osteoclast-like giant cells ( times 40).
