Microscopic features of immunohistochemistry. MSI+ gastric cancer showed complete loss of hMLH1 protein, but adjacent lymphoid cells and stromal cells are positive for the protein (A, 200 times). In another MSI+ gastric cancer diminished hMSH2 protein expression were found (B, 200 times), but adjacent normal mucosa expressed hMSH2 protein. Immunostaining of p53 (C, 200 times), CEA (D, 100 times), and MUC1 (E, 200 times) and MUC2 (F, 200 times) proteins revealed positive expression pattern.
