To the Editor: This letter is sent in regard to my recent Modern Pathology article, "Pathologic Classification of Rhabdomyosarcomas and Correlations with Molecular Studies." I wish to acknowledge the financial support of the Intergroup Rhabdomyosarcoma Study Group (IRSG) and its past Chairman, Dr. William Crist, in partially defraying the publication costs of the article. The IRSG, which now has been subsumed into the recently formed Children's Oncology Group as the Soft Tissue Sarcoma Disease Committee, has been an internationally recognized leader in rhabdomyosarcoma pathology descriptions and classification. I also wish to acknowledge the tremendous contributions of its previous pathology reviewers, Drs. Ed Soule, William Newton, and Bruce Webber, and my current colleagues in this task, Drs. Steve Qualman and Lisa Teot.
