A tool for searching research articles and news items on nature.com by keyword/fielded search - from 1869 to the present day.

The widget is available in two forms:

Widget Engine Installation:
None - Dashboard is bundled with Mac OS X.

The nature.com search widget communicates with the nature.com OpenSearch server using common OpenSearch conventions. The request URL follows the URL template declared in the OpenSearch description file for media type "application/rss+xml":

Note that this is a regular SRU search/retrieve request where one SRU 2.0 parameter ('httpAccept') is used in addition to the regular SRU 1.1 parameters, and one foreign parameter ('interface') is used to track the link source.

The response is an RSS 1.0 feed incorporating an SRU response.
