Production of OPG by normal human nonadherent and adherent PBML. (a) Peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes (PBML), nonadherent and adherent fractions of these PBML were incubated at 5 times 106/ml in RPMI 1640+10% FBS for 9 days; supernatants were successively collected to evaluate the accumulation of OPG by EIA. Results are expressed as meansplusminuss.e.m. (PBML: n=6, nonadherent PBML: n=15, adherent PBML: n=5). (b) Nonadherent PBML (5 times 106/ml) were incubated in RPMI 1640+10% FBS at 37°C for 9 days in the presence of 10 mug/ml anti-CD3 mAb coated to plastic. Results are expressed as meansplusminuss.e.m.
