Schematic diagram of an imaging system using filters. Filter 1 can be a bandpass filter or a polarizer. Filter 2 can be a bandpass filter, an LCTF, or a polarizer (positioned either parallel or perpendicular to filter 1). In the case of three-dimensional imaging a fringe pattern projector is in the place of filter 1.
