Rebuilding of protoporphyrin IX fluorescence in mouse skin after exposure to red light for 5 min at 0.5 h (A) or for 7 min at 3 h (B) after cream removal. The mice were irradiated at 35°C (circle) or at 23°C (filled down triangle). Topical application of 20% 5-aminolevulinic acid methyl ester was carried out on the mice for 1 h. Then the cream was removed. Error bars represent standard errors for groups of three mice.
