The Society for Investigative Dermatology seeks candidates for the position of Editor for the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, the top-ranked journal in the field of dermatology, with an impact factor of 4.238 (2004).
The Editor of the JID changes every five years; the term for the next Editor is June 1, 2007 through May 2012. Recent Editors were located in Geneva, Chapel Hill, Denver, and Boston.
The ideal candidate should be a dynamic, recognized researcher committed to the communication of scientific ideas. The Editor is responsible for the content published in the JID, and must interact with the international scientific community to develop a strategic vision for the Journal.
All manuscript submission, review, and production are accomplished through an online system that facilitates remote use by the Editorial Board and enables rapid review for submitted manuscripts.
