(A) Venn diagram of a total of 1355 genes regulated at 3, 5 and 24 h after stroke compared with healthy controls. These gene lists were generated using the following criteria: (1) Benjamini–Hochberg FDR <0.05, unpaired t-test. (2) The average fold increase or decrease is at least 1.5-fold compared with healthy controls. (B) Venn diagram of genes significantly regulated between 3 and 5 h, between 5 and 24 h and between 3 h and 24 h after stroke. These gene lists were generated using the following criteria: P<0.01, paired t-test. 3 h—blood drawn between 2 and 3 h after stroke, but before treatment; Control—healthy control people without neurological or other diseases.
