m intervals taken from representative sham/stimulated and 1-day lateral fluid percussion injury (LFPI)/stimulated cases. Note the focal increase in the cerebral metabolic rate for glucose (CMRglc) in frontal cortex near the stimulating electrode (white line) in both cases and the metabolic depression ipsilateral to injury in the 1-day LFPI/stimulated case. The red arrow indicates the site of the fluid pulse.
