JSH 2009- JSH Guidelines for the Management of Hypertension
The Japanese Society of Hypertension Guidelines for the Management of Hypertension (JSH 2009) has been published in Hypertension Research, January 2009 (Vol 32, 4-107), which described how to treat hypertensive patients with some complications based on evidence based medicine. In this guideline, we have referred and included the clinical and population studies performed recently in Japan, which we did not have enough evidence in last JSH 2004. Therefore, we hope that this JSH2009 and references cited in this issue would be useful for the physicians not only in Japan and Asia but also in other countries including USA and Europe. The accompanying web focus delves into JSH 2009 and the cited major references.
