About the journal

Hypertension Research is the official journal of the Japanese Society of Hypertension, publishing high-quality original research articles, reviews, correspondence and editorials on all aspects of the field of hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases.

The editorial team is led by Masatsugu Horiuchi, Editor-in-Chief, and includes a highly respected international editorial board. Together, the editorial team of Hypertension Research and Nature Publishing Group look to further define and shape the field of hypertension.

Hypertension Research represents an integral part of international hypertension research by encouraging and publishing original research articles that report findings of wide biological significance in the multidisciplinary field of hypertension and cardiovascular biology. Hypertension Research provides a dynamic platform for communicating research in this field through also including insightful and up-to-date reviews and correspondence.

Aims and scope of journal

Hypertension Research is the official publication of the Japanese Society of Hypertension. The journal publishes papers reporting original clinical and experimental research that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases. The journal publishes original articles, reviews and correspondence including case reports.

Manuscripts submitted to Hypertension Research will be accepted on the understanding that the author must not have previously submitted the paper to another journal or have published the material elsewhere.
