Samples with the black maple morphology are underlined and shown in bold face. Branch lengths are shown on the horizontal lines of the tree. Numbers in ovals are bootstrap values that exceed 50 per cent (obtained after 5000 iterations). Names of individual organisms are the same as those described in Table 2.
