Adrienne L. Perlman, Ph.D.
Dr Adrienne Perlman is a Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was a Founding Member of the Dysphagia Research Society and is presently serving as President of the Society. Dr Perlman is a Fellow of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and a member of the ASHA Specialty Recognition Committee for development of the requirements for specialty recognition in the diagnosis and treatment of oropharyngeal dysphagia. She is a co-editor of the textbook Deglutition and Its Disorders, and is responsible for development of the Teledynamic Evaluation Software System (TESS). She has published and lectured extensively in the area of dysphagia.
