Nature Insight RNA silencing
This Nature Insight is a collection of topical reviews on several rapidly moving areas of RNA silencing. The processing events that give rise to the small RNAs and the structures of the protein complexes that give them regulatory function are discussed. Other reviews explore biological aspects of how small viral RNAs affect virus viability and host cell response, and how small RNAs regulate the formation and maintenance of silenced chromatin. Finally, the progress of oligonucleotide therapies that exploit RNA silencing pathways is summarized.
