The EMBO Journal is open to cover suggestions from authors and non-authors alike; we encourage you to browse through past covers in our archive to get an impression of the types and quality of images we are looking for.

Cover Competition
Each year in November, the editors are inviting submissions to a contest for the best scientific and non-scientific cover images. There are prizes and a lot of fun to be had, and the best contributions have a chance to be featured on The EMBO Journal front cover in subsequent months.
The closing date of the 2010 Cover Contest is 15 January 2010. Send a brief email to covers@embojournal.org if you wish to receive a notification when next year's contest is announced.
