The picture was captured near Heidelberg, Germany with a Nikon D2X digital camera using a 60mm macro lens und processed with Adobe Photoshop. The photographer, Wolfgang Seifarth, is molecular biologist at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. His main research interests focus on the impact of endogenous retroviral elements (HERV) in the human genome, on marine biology, and closeup photography in nature.
