The EMBO Journal Cover Contest 2006 � Over the last two years, we have been publishing many cover images sent to us by scientists, artists and photographers from all over the world. The front of this issue illustrates a broad selection of these images, many of which were contributions to the cover contests of 2004 and 2005. The beautiful artwork submitted has given the journal a very distinctive appearance, and we would very much like to continue in this tradition.
