Cover. Central American red-eyed tree frog. 'I was in the Barra del Colorado Wildlife Refuge in Costa Rica when I noticed this frog on a plant near the hut where we were staying. The rain had just cleared'. Dr Graeme Guy is a Principal Investigator of the Signal Transduction Laboratory at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore. He is a keen amateur nature photographer; this image (or related ones) has won 12 medals in international photographic salons. The image was taken with a Canon EOS1N, 180mm macro lens, 1/250th, f 22, with three flash heads for illumination.
