Cover. A scanning electron micrograph showing a uropod-bearing human lymphoid cell. The behaviour of the cell shown in the picture is typical of lymphocytes susceptible to CD95/APO-1/Fas-mediated apoptosis and is consistent with co-polarization of CD95 and ezrin in the cell uropod. Stefano Fais is a Senior Investigator in the Tumor Immunology Section/Laboratory of Immunology of the Italian Institute of Health, Rome. For further details see Parlato et al., pp. 5123--5134.
