Volume 19, Number 15
01 August 2000
pp 3843-4191
Cover. A back skin section of a 16-day-old mouse with a keratinocyte-specific deletion of the
1 integrin gene was stained for the basement membrane component nidogen. The normally continuous staining at the dermal--epidermal border was lost. Instead, nidogen was irregularly deposited in the epidermis. Around the hair follicles nidogen deposition was thickened but continuous. For further details see Brakebusch et al., pages 3990-4003.
