Stimulus and Response during Early Pregnancy in the Mouse

Abstract

In view of the necessity for synchrony between the development of the embryo and that of the uterus, control of implantation should depend on a complex network of events leading to a high degree of functional integration. In this article, Dr McLaren describes some of the changes that take place during early pregnancy in the mouse and considers some of the underlying mechanisms.
