TLR-4nul/nul mice were resistant to TNBS induced colitis. TLR-4nul/nul, and wild type mice were induced by TNBS for the development of colitis as described. Mice were observed for weight loss. After three weeks mice were sacrificed and their intestines were examined for inflammation. Histological examinations show that TLR-4nul/nul mice are resistant to TNBS induced colitis, whereas wild type mice show considerable inflammation.
