Immunoblotting of total fractions of T. vaginalis before (A) and after (B) interaction with Caco-2 cells. (A) T016 parasites grown in high iron medium (HI) exhibited higher reactivity to anti-AP65 antibody than those cultivated in low iron (LI). The JT strain did not show differences in protein expression in both media. (B) After 60 min of interaction with epithelial cells, both strains expressed more AP65 than those cells that had no contact with the Caco-2 cells.
