About the Editors

Editor Emeritus

The Editor Emeritus of Cell Research is Dr Gang Pei, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently a Principal Investigator at the Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his BSc and MSc from Shenyang College of Pharmacy (China) in 1981 and 1984 respectively, and his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA) in 1991. Dr Pei is a world leading expert in the area of GPCR signaling regulation and functions. He has (co)authored over 100 refereed publications and serves for many professional societies in the world, including the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, the Asia-Pacific International Molecular Biology Network, Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine, etc. He is also the Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of Cell Discovery. Dr Li is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Cell Research.

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief of Cell Research is Dr Dangsheng Li. Dr Li is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Cell Research and Cell Discovery and a professor of Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science, CAS. He received his BSc from University of Science and Technology of China in 1988, and his PhD from Cornell University Medical College in 1995. He was an Associate Editor of Cell from 2004-2006, and has served as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Cell Research since early 2006. Under the leadership of Drs Gang Pei & Dangsheng Li, Cell Research has rapidly evolved into a premium international journal in molecular & cell biology. Dr Li has received many awards for his excellent work in publishing, such as National Leading Talent in Publishing in 2008, Tan Jiazhen Award of Life Sciences in 2012, and State Award on Publishing in 2013.
