Shown are the number of newspaper articles that contained the phrase 'climate change' or 'global warming' each year from 1980 to 2006, from the Lexis-Nexis and Proquest/ABI Inform databases. This includes coverage in 41 of the most influential English-language newspapers, across 17 countries and on five continents.
