Cytological features of GCV-treated cells. After treatment with GCV, E1a-TK-expressing cells showed a striking enlargement of the nuclei and cytoplasm. Note that at the same magnification (times100), the E1a-TK cells treated with GCV show large cytoplasms compared to the same cells without GCV.
