Introduction
In January 2010, Nature Publishing Group (NPG) and the "Associazione Differenziamento e Morte Cellulare" (ADMC) will launch a brand new publication: Cell Death & Disease.
Cell Death & Disease is a sister journal to the well-established and highly respected journal Cell Death & Differentiation (2008 impact factor 7.548, Journal Citation Reports, Thomson Reuters, 2009), but will explore the more translational area of cell death. Cell Death & Disease will be online only and will make all content freely available to all researchers worldwide. An article-processing charge of £2,000 / $3,000 / €2,400 will be levied per article accepted for publication. NPG's excellence in publishing will ensure that all research published will receive high exposure through online hosting on nature.com, extensive press coverage and rapid publication.
The editorial team is led by three editors, Gerry Melino, Guido Kroemer and Pierluigi Nicotera, and will include a highly respected international editorial board. Together, the Cell Death & Disease editorial team and NPG look to further define and shape the field of cell death and disease.
