Sensitisation of Hep3b cells for TRAIL-induced apoptosis with chemotherapeutic drugs. (a) Hep3b cells (black bars) and HepG2-TR cells (grey bars) were treated with different chemotherapeutic drugs at the indicated concentrations for 24 h in the presence or absence of 1 mug/ml TRAIL. Apoptosis was determined by subdiploid DNA content. (b) HepG2 cells were treated with different concentrations of TRAIL in the presence (Delta) or absence (circle) of 5-FU (25 mug/ml).
