TOOTH ART SERIES: TOOTH RING BY POLLY VAN DER GLAS

The cover images in volume 214 of the journal showcase various forms of tooth art from all over the world. This issue of the BDJ features 'Tooth Ring' by Australian artist Polly van der Glas. The piece is made from human teeth and sterling silver. Since 2005 van der Glas' work has centred on materials that were once attached to our bodies: human hair, teeth and fingernails. You can see more of her work and find out about the philosophy behind it at www.vanglas.com.au.
